Amazon UNIVERSITY Esports winter semester goes into the next round

10/11/2022 - Amazon UNIVERSITY Esports Germany is starting a new season. Registration is open to all students and free of charge as of now via the official website. The project is one of the most important events in German e-sports and is open to all universities and colleges.

As part of the tournaments at Amazon UNIVERSITY Esports Germany, students are offered workshops and networking events. Last semester, more than 160 German universities took part in the tournaments at Amazon UNIVERSITY Esports Germany. A total of 1.5 million viewers accompanied the players in League of Legends, Rocket League and Clash Royale.

This winter semester, Amazon UNIVERSITY Esports Germany is once again opening its doors to students from all over Germany, Switzerland and Austria. In addition to League of Legends, Rocket League and Clash Royale, participants can now also qualify for the UNIVERSITY Esports Masters in VALORANT and Teamfight Tactics. A total of over €10,000 worth of prizes will be made available. The focus of the event this time is to reward more game players for their participation.

In addition, the best teams will automatically qualify for an Invitational Play Off for the coveted spots at the Amazon UNIVERSITY Grand Final. Here, the best student teams from across Europe compete.

This season, Amazon UNIVERSITY Esports is placing a special focus on student development and is offering an accompanying program of workshops by professionals from various fields. The goal is to provide students with new concepts and knowledge to support them in their further journey. Additional offerings and programming will be announced throughout the season.

The registration deadlines for the different disciplines are:

  • Teamfight Tactics: by Oct. 17.
  • Rocket League, League of Legends
  • VALORANT: until October 23
  • Clash Royale: until November 7
