Amazon UNIVERSITY summer season finals start in June
06/07/2022 - The current season of Amazon UNIVERSITY Esports Germany already started at the beginning of March. Now the preliminary rounds are coming to an end and the eagerly awaited finals are approaching! More than 250 players from around 160 German universities are competing for the largest prize pool to date, worth a total of €10,000 and great prizes.
All finals in the four disciplines Rocket League, Clash Royale, Teamfight Tactics and League of Legends will be broadcast live via Twitch, the Rocket League final will also be held live in Paderborn in front of an audience.
The finals at a glance:
- June 11, 2022, 3 p.m. - 6 p.m.: Rocket League LIVE in Paderborn, Germany
- June 11, 2022, 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.: Clash Royale
- June 12, 2022, 3 p.m. - 6 p.m.: League of Legends
- June 12, 2022, 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.: Teamfight Tactics
The battle for the trophy in Rocket League and League of Legends started back on April 6, with the top eight teams in each high bracket getting a chance to win. In Rocket League, the teams have to prove themselves in front of the public- Berlin Phoenix and DG Dragons have already qualified. Who can win the third and last place in the finals will be decided on Wednesday between the Hamburg Sharks and FHDW Esports. In League of Legends, AIX Schwer and the Bremen brothers will face off in the finals.
In Clash Royale, too, the finalists have already been determined after three double knockout rounds, with SBahn (Humboldt University Berlin), magicmax (FH Aachen), FuerstNoah (RheinMain University of Applied Sciences) and Datus (University of Ulm) dueling for the podium. Teamfight Tactics started on May 13 with a total of 42 participants. Here, too, the best eight can qualify for the finals, including well-known names from the European rankings such as TFTMarx, PainGetsReal, Asad D Fuego and jodelj.
