Little magicians big time: Test of the magic MMORPG
06/18/2011 - We donned colorful magic hats, visited various magic schools, and bravely confronted the evil Malistaire Drake to protect the worlds of the Spiral from ghosts, Kroks, and Hüllifanten. Whether we outshone Harry Potter is in the editorial test.

CONCLUSION |
|
87% | The start of Wizard 101 makes you immediately aware that the game is primarily aimed at children, teenagers and families. This is not a disadvantage, but rather has charmingly awakened the child in us. The colorful hustle and bustle, always with a twinkle in the eye, is a pleasant change from the many tough competitive games on the market. The highly professional and extremely extensive dubbing of the game is striking: every quest and every dialog, even the smallest help hint is professionally dubbed. The entire game world with the unusual characters is wondrously and coherently implemented, despite the somewhat outdated graphics. The gameplay is also varied and well thought out thanks to the seven magic schools and the numerous gold cards. If the player doesn`t feel like doing quests, he can pass the time with the 8 mini-games at the carnival or by raising a pet. The family title offers parents the possibility to accompany their children and lock the chat if necessary. In summary, Wizard 101 is a nice and coherent magic school MMORPG for young and old. The lovely world, the great implementation, the solid technology and the fun magic battles offer a lot of variety and provide a lot of fun. For children and families a top title, but even old warhorses should at least once put on the magic hat! | |
