One billion dollars in sales after ten years of growth!
02/18/2025 - War Robots, the PvP tactical shooter from MY.GAMES, has reached the one billion US dollar sales mark. After ten years of growth, the game is now one of the few mobile games worldwide to have passed this milestone. With an active community and regular updates, the game will remain relevant in 2025.
A decade of stable growth
War Robots has been growing continuously for ten years. With around 300 million installations on all platforms and over 4.7 million monthly active players, the game has firmly established itself. The mobile version is particularly strong: 95% of installations and 94% of revenue come from smartphones, with Android users clearly outstripping the iOS community (70 million) with 212 million installations. Despite this distribution, the revenue between Android and iOS is almost equal - with 455 million dollars on Android and 442 million dollars on iOS.
War Robots is also successful in Germany. With over 5.7 million players, the German market generated around 37 million dollars in revenue. This makes Germany one of the game's top five countries in terms of sales, along with the USA, Japan, South Korea and the UK.
Live events as the key to success
Regular updates and in-game events are a key factor in the enduring popularity of War Robots. Every year, the developers release around 100 new pieces of content, including robots, pilots and weapons. In addition, there are around nine major events per year, which account for a significant proportion of the revenue.
According to MY.GAMES CEO Elena Grigorian, this success shows the strength of the development team and their ability to hold their own in a highly competitive market. The focus remains on maintaining growth and providing players with an engaging experience.
Looking to the future
In 2021, shortly before the game's seventh anniversary, War Robots had already reached the 500 million dollar sales mark. Just four years later, the game is now part of the exclusive "1 billion dollar games club". According to Pixonic CEO Vladimir Markin, this development is set to continue in the coming years, with exciting updates beyond 2025.
