New content update: City of Aeterna
09/13/2023 - The city of Aeterna has opened its doors to hunters around the world. The new season of Torchlight: Infinite is out today at 17:00 on PC and Mobile. Following the successful global launch of the game, the latest, update offers even more gameplay options, new content and an enchanting new addition to the Torchlight hero roster.
Here's what ARPG fans can expect with the launch of Torchlight: Infinite SS2: The City of Aeterna:
New Gameplay Content
The City of Aeterna: Explore ancient ruins and gather the resources you need to rebuild the lost city, unlock secret passages and earn incredible rewards. Featuring a randomized map and an endless tower-climbing challenge
Forsaken Iris:
Iris is a powerful spirit mage from another world. She is the ninth playable hero in Torchlight: Infinite and adds to the diverse selection of characters in the game. Iris has a unique playstyle: she summons spirit mages to help her in battle and boost and improve her powers thanks to dynamic growth mechanics.
Flame of Pleasure:
Gemma players can unlock a fiery new ability for their favorite hero in Torchlight: Infinite. Become a walking inferno and baptize your enemies in a hail of flame that deals massive damage.
The Lone King:
For the ultimate prize, hunters can complete bonus objectives to track down this season's final boss and fight for a host of hidden treasures.
New Season Pass:
Earn bonus rewards throughout the game, including the new heroine Iris, which can be unlocked by purchasing the Ultimate Season Pass.
Psalms of Aeterna:
A huge talent board with seasonal talent nodes that players can unlock gradually by finding collectibles around town.
Major optimizations
- Increased drop rate for legendary items: The drop rate has been increased by 3.5 times, making rare legendary equipment easier to obtain.
- Netherrealm Battles: Battles have also been reworked to provide a more exciting experience in map creation and treasure hunting.
- Crafting optimization: the crafting system has been improved so that affixes can now be upgraded; hunters can select their desired affix when crafting.
- Blueprint system: a new method to obtain legendary equipment. By collecting blueprints during the season, players can craft the appropriate legendary gear in their inventory.
- Trade house upgrade: it is now easier to search, save and automatically check items.
- New skills, legendary gear, and quality of life changes: With the new season, there are plenty of new gear to unlock and game-wide updates, such as improvements to crafting, Chaos Invasion, Divinity Slates, and the PC controller experience.
- In addition, hunters who log into Torchlight: Infinite on September 7 will be able to unlock a limited edition portrait frame to celebrate the launch of the new season.
