With the release of Season 2: Void Chaser, NEXON and NEXON Games present the next phase of their free-to-play looter shooter The First Descendant. Players on PlayStation, Xbox and PC can now immerse themselves in new adventures and explore the secrets of the Void Abyss. Season 2 offers a wealth of new content, including new characters, an expanded story chapter and exclusive festive events.

Holiday spirit in Albion

Season 2 brings a festive atmosphere to the world of Albion with "Holiday Galore". The city has been festively decorated and new holiday-themed skins, cosmetic items and emotes are available in the store. Players can further personalize their experience with these festive customizations.

Special event series for Winterfest

During Season 2, The First Descendant offers a variety of events to celebrate the festive season. The Winter Festival Attendance Check Event rewards players for their participation with a Descendant Trading Token and other rewards for regular logins. The "Anais' Winter Festival Event" also offers solo and co-op missions that provide valuable items to strengthen the Descendants.

The "Descendant Year-End Celebration Event" invites players to complete special gameplay missions and collect unique customization items, such as the festive holiday skin. These events offer a variety of opportunities to further develop characters in the game while earning exclusive customizations.

New challenges and characters

Season 2 also introduces a new Descendant: Keelan, a member of the H.O.U.N.D unit who uses poison abilities and a dash skill to pierce enemies in combat. In addition to the new character, the update also brings a new dungeon, the Void Vessel. In this dungeon, players can expect to encounter the fearsome boss "Dread Armor", whose weapons evolve over the course of the battle and require different tactics.

Also included is a new Ark companion created from genetic material from the Void Vessel. This companion not only supports the Descendants in battle, but is also available for occasional petting.

New story quest and ultimate weapons

The new Sharen story quest reveals the mysteries surrounding Sharen and her arch-nemesis Vulgus, while players can discover a new Ark-powered body for Sharen. Ultimate Sharen brings new abilities that make her the ideal infiltrator for the Void Vessel.

The update also introduces two new ultimate weapons: "Hammer and Anvil", which has a special fire mode switch, and "Voltia", a beam rifle that is the only weapon that can break through anti-void shields. These weapons offer new ways to make the gaming experience even more intense.

Further updates, including the new Descendant Ines Raya and the new "Void Abyss" Intercept Battle, have been announced for January 16.
