Monster Hunter collaboration with RAID: Shadow Legends
01/09/2024 - Plarium, in partnership with Capcom Co, Ltd (Capcom), today announced a crossover of the popular Monster Hunter series with RAID: Shadow Legends. From January 9 to March 5, 2024, players can earn five Legendary Champions equipped with exclusive weapons and armor from some of Monster Hunter's most impressive monsters, including Rathalos, Zinogre and Fatalis.
"We are thrilledto introduce players to an exciting new selection of Champions based on some of the most acclaimed monsters from the world of Monster Hunter," said Ronen Gross, Vice President of Business Development at Plarium. "It'sbeen an incredible experience to work with Capcom to align both worlds to create something that feels both familiar and completely unique."
To meet the expectations of fans of both franchises, the teams at Plarium and Capcom worked together to ensure that the most popular aspects of RAID and Monster Hunter are represented in this collaboration, so the five champions based on the Monster Hunter series mirror some of the abilities available to characters with the same weapons and armor in the Monster Hunter games, creating something that will delight fans of both games.
All five Legendary Champions can be collected by players in various ways in the game between January 9, 2024 and March 5, 2024. The Legendary Swordsman Champion Rathalos Blademaster can be obtained by all players through a special loyalty program that requires players to log into RAID: Shadow Legends on seven different days during the duration of the partnership. Players can also earn the other four champions in special, limited-time events that will run until March 5, 2024.
Players can look forward to a wide variety of community promotions and in-game activities to mark the occasion, as well as trailers explaining how the characters from Monster Hunter ended up in the world of Teleria. There will also be a chance to see champions from RAID: Shadow Legends take on Rathalos, the well-known icon from Monster Hunter.
