Patch 31.4.2: New adjustments and bug fixes in detail
Today - The new Hearthstone patch 31.4.2 brings numerous balance changes, card adjustments and bug fixes. In addition to adjustments in standard mode, adjustments have also been made in battlefield mode to further improve the game balance.
Blizzard has made some changes to Hearthstone with the latest update. The main focus is on card adjustments and balance changes to further equalize the meta. Particularly affected are the Nexus Prince Zerg and Photographer Fizzel, whose mechanics have been revised to avoid extreme play patterns.
Changes to selected cards:
-
Nexus Prince Shaffar: The mechanics of Spell Boost have been adjusted so that it only works on minions that do not already have the effect.
-
Photographer Fizzel: The battle cry and the snapshot function can now only be executed once per game.
-
Phase Glider: Values have been increased from 3/1 to 3/2.
Players will have two weeks after the patch to disenchant affected cards for their full Arcane Dust cost.
Battleground changes and new strategies
The battlefield will also receive numerous adjustments in patch 31.4.2. The developers' aim is to enable more strategic variety. To this end, some maps have been removed, while others have returned and been reworked.
Adjustments to the minion pool:
-
Cards such as Hinterland Glow and Arcane Cannoneer have been removed.
-
Other cards such as Snakespear and Bernguard return, some with new stats and abilities.
Some archetypes have been specifically strengthened, including Demons, Dragons and Naga. At the same time, dominant strategies, such as the use of Prince 'Loc or Ultraviolet Ascendant, have been toned down to provide more variety in the gameplay.
Arena updates and bug fixes
In the Arena, card offerings have been adjusted to improve the balance between classes. Certain cards now appear less frequently or more frequently to enable a fairer deck composition. Various bugs have also been fixed, including a bug that caused the Nozdormu tag to skip last month.
With these adjustments, Blizzard continues to pursue the goal of keeping Hearthstone dynamic and improving the balance for all game modes. Further updates are already being planned.
