Shockwave: The biggest update yet for Armored Warfare is here!

10/29/2024 - The free Shockwave update for Armored Warfare brings numerous new features to the game, including a new mode, drones and gameplay improvements. It is the biggest update in the last three years.
With the Shockwave update, Armored Warfare receives a comprehensive expansion that brings both new content and significant gameplay improvements. The update is available for free and offers players a more intense and varied gaming experience.
At the center of the update is the new Shockwave mode, designed as the ultimate tank warfare showdown. In this cooperative PvE mode, five players join forces to defend a strategically important facility against a massive enemy onslaught. There are no respawns and no retreats - players must give their all to save the facility from enemy control. Only Tier 10 vehicles are allowed, requiring maximum firepower. Players who do not have a Tier 10 vehicle can secure a tank of this level free of charge for two days and jump straight into the action.
In addition to the new mode, the Shockwave update brings a variety of gameplay improvements. These include a third slot for crew skills at level 6, giving players even more tactical options. New engine sounds for the T-72 series and their Chinese counterparts have also been added to further enhance the gameplay experience. The PvP map "Pipelines" has also undergone a visual overhaul to increase the game's graphic quality.
Players can now also customize decals for their tanks to further personalize their vehicles. In addition, the PELE ammunition and its mechanics have been adjusted to increase the effectiveness of the weapons. The update also includes a number of bug fixes and stability improvements that make the game smoother overall.
Another big feature of the update are the drones, which will be available in the game from the end of November. These drones add a new strategic dimension as players will be able to use both reconnaissance and attack drones. Reconnaissance drones are used to scout enemy positions in a given area, while attack drones detect enemy weak points and carry out targeted attacks. To fend off the threat from the air, players have machine guns, autocannons, airburst grenades and the jammer ability at their disposal.
