The epic story is composed of a series of adventures or tasks full of excitement and action. These adventures start from the very beginning of the game and are related to Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf the Grey and Strider, the Ranger from the North. In typical genre fashion, you can choose one of four races at the beginning. You have the choice between humans, elves, dwarves and hobbits. However, it is already noticeable that you don`t get the opportunity to put yourself on the evil side. After you have chosen a race, you can still choose one of these classes: Guardian, Weaponmaster, Captain, Hunter, Rogue, Bard, or Scout. For variety, you`ll start in a different starting area with each race. Your character development can be very personalized with the help of the different talents.

Unusual in Lord of the Rings Online is the PvP system. Since the good side can not fight each other and you can not play a character of the evil side, another solution must come: the monster game. Here you can either go into battle with your character, or you decide, just for the time in PvP, for Orcs, Uruk-hai and Co.

The graphic design of Middle-earth is really good. Even if you can not directly enter the story of the Ring War, the flair of the movies and books still comes up. In Lord of the Rings Online you don`t take part in Frodo`s journey to Mount Doom, but you will meet the heroes again and again and surely have to do one or the other task for them.
