Game description

Wordwar is a game that you can play in your browser or on your smartphone. You play with many other players at the same time on an infinitely large game board. You have to place words on the board so that they are connected to other existing words.

It gets even more fun if you sign up and join a team (consisting of a name and a color). Then your goal is to win the game by beating all the other teams.

A team has won a game when all other teams have been defeated. As a team, you can conquer enemy words by extending or changing them, and even entire enemy regions by encircling them. This works for regions of any size (with a little delay).

You can post comments on a match, even just for your team if you wish, by opening the side panel with the chat button at the top of the board. You can also leave the panel open while playing if your screen is large enough. The comments also appear as notifications at the bottom right edge of the playing field.
