Mars Tomorrow Onlinegame
Game description
In the economic simulation Mars Tomorrow, the player colonizes Mars and transforms it into an Earth-like planet by means of terraforming. Through tactical, economic actions, the player increases the population of his colony and thus indirectly drives the terraforming of the red planet.
The desert becomes a second Earth. Mars is changing and the player should constantly adapt his tactics. Thousands of players fight non-violently for dominance on the red planet.
The red planet becomes a green world
The Mars of tomorrow is anything but a paradise: As a space pioneer, you are one of the first to set foot on the barren world. The first task is to extract important resources ? Things like oxygen, water, carbon dioxide ? and develop them into vital products. Mars vehicles bring the raw materials to the colony, which soon expands and thrives with your help. More and more people will settle in colonies like yours, creating larger production chains and economic cycles. Coordinating everything, planning ahead and contributing to the population's well-being are part of your tasks. Thus, Mars Tomorrow presents you first of all with the challenge of an economic simulation. You'll see that soon the greenhouse gases emitted will cause an Earth-like atmosphere to form on Mars. Clouds, rain, rivers, lakes and especially algae change the image of Mars to a fertile world.
Core elements of Mars Tomorrow
- Game objective: Terraforming to 100
- Build an economic empire under pioneer conditions
- Research focuses determine development
- Cross-platform in the browser and as an app (iOS & Android)
Challenges of the future
As terraforming progresses, however, you'll also face new problems. Your Mars vehicles, for example, were created for the rocky desert world and are not designed to drive on muddy surfaces. If you want to maintain resource production, you'll have to make adjustments. The atmosphere is not dense enough to use airlifters in the beginning, but with timely research efforts you will be able to outrun other players later on. Remember: You and your colony are only one among many on Mars. All players try together and in competition with each other to build as large populations as possible. Directional decisions and a sense of timing are important if you want to position yourself effectively for the endgame.
Rare resources offer unexpected advantages, a fact that is ubiquitous in Mars Tomorrow. Cooperations with other colonists and mergers of several players into powerful companies are inevitable to advance faster economically. But the interaction with others is not limited to that. At the latest when Mars has developed into an Earth-like planet, you are challenged to regulate the emission of greenhouse gases and to make the construction of a station in orbit possible for this purpose. This can only be done together with everyone, otherwise the ecosystem will collapse and the terraforming process will break down.
