The cruiser Puerto Rico returns to the shipyard!
08/08/2022 - Wargaming is heating up this August with the latest update, which includes the return of the giant "Puerto Rico", the Brazilian Independence Day celebration and a number of camera improvements. In addition, update 0.11.7 brings the return of the previously released Godzilla vs. Kong content and a number of improvements.
The Puerto Rico in the shipyard
With this update, an American Tier X cruiser returns to the shipyard, equipped with 12 powerful 305mm cannons spread across four main turrets, strong armor and a decent amount of horsepower. To obtain this cruiser and its associated rewards, players will have to complete 40 construction phases, as with the high-end Tier VII Commonwealth destroyer Huron, before receiving the ship with permanent camouflage, a port slot, a commander with ten skill points and a commemorative flag. Those who already own the Puerto Rico will be rewarded for their efforts with the Puerto Rico Certificate, which can be exchanged in the Armory for doubloons, steel, or research points that players can use to buy another level X ship.
200 Years of Brazilian Independence
To celebrate Brazilian Independence Day, there are a number of Brazilian rewards up for grabs in the brand new port of Rio de Janeiro, including the level V Pan-American battleship Rio de Janeiro with the permanent "White Swan" camouflage, the "Waves of Copacabana" consumable camouflage, and a commemorative flag. The "White Swan" camouflage is available as a final reward for players who complete a special set of missions, and comes with a special surprise. Rio de Janeiro is equipped with 14 305-mm main guns, which are characterized by high precision and high shell weight. With HE and AP grenades and good combat capabilities, the ship can inflict significant damage on its opponents, but does not have anti-air weapons and has low speed.
Two Titans Return
World of Warships' collaboration with Godzilla vs Kong brings back the two giants. Premium containers contain various items from last year's event and offer the chance to purchase permanent and upgradeable cloaks, commanders and economic bonuses. Godzilla and Kong return as commanders for the level VIII Amagi and VIII North Carolina battleships, which also make a triumphant return to the seas with their unique camouflages. Finally, the ultimate Titan and Guardian camouflages will once again be available for purchase in this re-release of Godzilla vs. Kong.
Lights, camera, action!
To enhance the gameplay experience and comfort, the combat camera has been given a narrower field of view to put more focus on the player's ship, and now offers two camera positions to choose from when commanders aim a scout plane. Two new settings have also been added to allow the player to adjust the field of view and camera height from the ship. Camera tracking has also been improved when tracking flying projectiles.
